Red, White And Blue is an Oscar nominated 23-minute short film that tells the story of Rachel (Brittany Snow), a single parent living paycheck to paycheck. When an unexpected pregnancy threatens to unravel her already precarious position, she's forced to cross state lines in search of an abortion. Distributed by Level Forward and in partnership with 16 non-profit/non-partisan 501c3 organizations, Red, White and Blue continues to travel around the country, screening for people of all backgrounds – those of different faiths, economic realities, party affiliations, and levels of political awareness – exploring how abortion rights impact people’s lives, health, and safety, including in ways that some may find surprising.. The goal of the work with the film and its Purple Parlor Fund is to spark many personal and private conversations – beyond the in-theater or talkback experience – within families or communities that can make a collective difference, and to raise funds that can be deployed by the film’s partners at the national, state and local levels.
