What is Level Forward Neighborhood (LFN)?

LFN is a distribution network built by Level Forward with artists and 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
Where do my dollars go?

The net proceeds of every dollar that you and other Neighbors spend on LFN is split equally between artists, non-profits, and LFN.
Is this a streaming service?

Yes and no. While LFN does offer a curated menu of viewing options,we’re not a traditional streaming service in how we curate, how the money is divided up, and who the partners are. We don’t charge a subscription fee and we are not owned by a large corporation.
How do you choose LFN films, shows, and theater?

LFN productions are curated through a collaboration between Level Forward, our creative partners and our Neighborhood 501c3 partners. We look for stories which are striking for their truth-telling, their proximity to the experiences and themes they feature and their creative excellence. .
Why should I use LFN instead of the subscription service(s) I already pay for?

As a consumer, you have greater power than you realize and LFN is a way to exercise your power that actually benefits the artists who make great stories come to life and the organizations who build the real solutions.
What is different about the LFN financial model?

Traditionally, distributors of commercial entertainment take a majority of the financial proceeds, leaving little for artists and indpendents. LFN treats itself as an equal partner to artsits and adds a new beneficiary: 501c3 organizations who are often called upon to build audiences, but never compensated.

Screening & Hosting
What does it mean to be a host?

Being a host is as simple as inviting a friend over to watch a film, organizing a larger group at your local community center or club room, or gathering people to perform a reading as part of a fundraiser. Hosting is as simple or as elaborate as you make it.
Why shouldn’t I just make a direct donation to an organization of my choosing?

You should, and also, when you host a screening or a reading, you are creating a ripple effect. Each person who participates is another potential donor.
How does fundraising work?

As a host, all you have to do is pick an organization you want to raise money for. LFN tools will do all the heavy lifting in terms of getting the funds from your efforts to the organization.
Don’t artists and storytellers make a lot of money?

Sadly, most do not. Especially independent artists and creators.
How do I become a host?

Just select the film or script you would like to share with your neighbors and select what kind of group you will be hosting. An LFN team member will reach out to help you facilitate the screening from there.
How do I get production support for my event?

Just select “Producing support” from the add-on menu A team member will reach out to learn more about what you need and put together a quote.

What is a Neighborhood Partner?

A Neighborhood Partner is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is a part of the LFN network.

Membership & Accounts
How do I reset my password?

On the “Profile” page, under the “Password” section, you can select the “Update password” button and reset your password.
How do I update my personal information?

On the “Profile” page, under the “Profile” tab you can update your personal information and select save for your information to be updated.
Rental & Materials
When does my viewing window start?

This depends on which plan you purchase. Solo and Small Group viewing windows begin when you complete your purchase, while Formal and Premium Plans have a scheduled start time based on your unique event.
How long is my viewing window?

Your viewing window depends on your plan. A Solo plan provides you with a 24 hour viewing window from the time you complete your purchase while Small Group, Formal Group, and Premium Group plans give you a 48 hour viewing window.
The film won’t play or doesn't show up on my screen. What should I do?

Make sure you are logged into the platform and refresh the page. If that does not work, check that your film is under “My Stories” and hasn’t expired. If that doesn’t work please email neighborhood@levelforward.co or submit a ticket here.
Can I share the the link to my film or script?

No, your rental is only accessed through your account and links can’t be shared. If you would like to access a film as a group consider purchasing our Formal Group or Premium plans.
Where do I get access to my Film?

Under the “My Stories” page, select that specific film drop down and you can access the film as long as it's within the viewing window.
My link expired before I could watch. Can I get another link?

Please email neighborhood@levelforward.co and we will evaluate on a case by case basis.
Where do I get access to my additional offerings e.g. Bonus Content, Marketing Materials, etc.

Payments & Billing
Can I get a refund for my purchase?

Refunds for Formal and Premium Group plans are reviewed case by case. Please email neighborhood@levelforward.co or submit a ticket here.
How is my payment being processed?

Your payments are processed using a secure third party payment platform, Stripe.
Where can I find my previous purchases or receipts?

You can find your previous purchases and receipts under the “Profile” page → “Billing” tab.
Data & Security
What data does Level Forward Neighborhood collect from my membership?

Level Forward Neighborhood collects your first and last name, email address, physical address, interest areas, and payment information.
Who else can see my information?
